As promised, another post, though it's late :( , that would make your taste buds tickle!

The girls and I went to Banapple 2 weeks ago. It is my first time in Banapple but I did not go there really hungry. I told the girls that I want something savoury and sinful that day but I turned out ordering their famous:

Chicken Pie with Chunky Potato Salad (Php 150)

Graess ordered:
Hickory Smoked Barbecued Country  Ribs with Garlic Rice (200php)
Bluberry Cheesecake (about 75php)

Karla had:
Baked Creamy Cheesy Penne (200php)
Herbed Chicken Roll with Basil Cream Sauce (200php) and a slice of
Blueberry Cheesecake ( around 75php )

BJ ate:
Banapple Beef and Sausage Stew (around 210php)

Andi:
Baked Creamy Cheesy Penne (around 200php) same as Karla's order,

Andi's kids:
had same dish as Graess' and a slice of cake that I forgot what's it called. I thinks it's somewhat same as the cake that Andi had when we were in TCB.

Our review:

Chicken Pie with Chunky Potato Salad - Pie is oh so awesome! I super loved the creaminess of the filling. Chicken went well with the mushroom and cream. I remember the days when mom served us clam chowder. It's so creamy yet fresh. With the pie, everything went well with each ingredients plus the flaky pie crust!
Downside is since it's so creamy ( I think I've mentioned "creamy" decillion times now ;) ), you'd get tired eating it. The "umay" effect will drag you off the chair! The Potato salad, hmmm..., I'm not a fan of such.

Hickory Smoked Barbecued Country  Ribs with Garlic Rice - Really tender meat and tasty sauce though it's so overpowering made the taste kind of intimidating already. Garlic rice is awesome. These are the only points I got from Graess. Andi's big boy, "Mmmm..., busog!" but Andi's little angel, not able to finish her plate because the serving is big. Maybe good for 1 hungry hippo or 1 "pa-cute" couple.

Baked Creamy Cheesy Penne - Im sorry but Im not able to take a photo of this. Graess, Andi and her kids and I came in late so Karla and BJ had to feed their hungry stomachs, they can no longer wait for us.
Anyway, Karla said this is a good dish but the description expires after finishing half of the plate. Why? Again, flavor is really intense that it would make you "sawa." Serving is big, though.

Banapple Beef and Sausage Stew - I sat about half a meter away from BJ, but I can still smell the aroma of the herbs in Daddy's stew. That's how flavourful it is! Beef is tender and sauce is good but having BJ not finish the food, is really something.

Herbed chicken rolls with Basil Cream Sauce - Per Karla this dish is fine but she felt like a rabbit towards the end of the meal. "Hmmm... Rabbit?" I said.  "Yeah! 'Cuz you'd feel like you're eating leaves, grasses and stems because of the herbs." Karla replied. What the heck? It's HERBED chicken rolls with BASIL cream sauce. Karla, unable to finish her plate. :(

Banapple Blueberry Cheesecake - what else can I say? It's simply heaven! I know I mentioned Im really not a fan of cheesecake but this, is just marvelous!

So there you have it!

We therefore conclude that travelling an hour from EDSA, Mandaluyong City to Katipunan ( due to traffic ) is not quite reasonable just to eat uber flavourful foods. But I can always come back for their pies! ♥

Oh! By the way, the girls and I are looking to doing an outreach program very soon. Please watch out for our pics!
